Isogei

What is Isogei?

Isogei is a unique lifting technique for treatment of age signs, smoothing wrinkles, restoring skin elasticity, lifting and toning the muscles.  With Isogei we induce a controlled neural stimulation in the muscle, using specific waves that create muscle contraction without moving it voluntarily.  The technique is effective for the treatment of aesthetical problem of skin aging and sagging, at any age and on any part of the body.  It is also perfect for rehabilitation where only the muscle can be exercised.

How does it work?

Isometric exercises are nothing new.  They are used for therapy in various ways.  The principles of isometric contraction are applied in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, yoga and also by sports trainers.  The novelty in Isogei treatment is the effective technique devised to take advantage of these isometric contractions.

A muscle that is not exposed to activity, due to lack of development or a sedentary lifestyle, begins to suffer atrophy and to look flabby.  The technique allows the muscle to work without voluntarily initiating it.

An isometric contraction means that tension is applied to the muscle without changing its length.  When the initial strength of the muscle is equal or less that the external force, and the muscle is held at a constant length, there is tension in the muscle.  This tension is the isometric contraction.  For example, if you lean against a wall and try to “push” it, you are activating your muscles, you contract them, but you did not inflict change to their length (since the wall’s mass is larger than your own weight).  Another example is if you press your foot against the floor – the foot is not moving yet the muscles are activated and the muscle tension is created.

This muscle tension obliterates the fat stored in the muscle and leads to an improvement in tissue tonus.  It strengthens and stretches the muscle.  Each treatment increases muscular strength by 5% - even after just 1 session.

The Isogei technique enables us to work on each and every muscle in the body, from the larger ones such as the gluteus, chest and thighs, to the smallest face muscles responsible for expression lines and laughter wrinkles.  The degree of the contraction is proportionate to the frequency of stimulation.
